BALENCIAGA
1987 : Ho Hang Club fragrance for men debuts. French designer Michel Goma appointed to design ready-to-wear; within the next few years he will create both Balenciaga Le Dix, a luxury line, and Diffusion, a lower-priced collection. First American license granted to Mouratidis Furs. Uniformes Balenciaga launched; the division will design uniforms for airlines, banks, hotels, and France's postal service. In honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the House of Balenciaga in Paris, an exhibit opens at Tokyo's Fondation de la Mode, and a tribute to the designer is held in San Sebastián.
1998 : Cristobal fragrance introduced.
